Gilbert Commercial

The largest privately held company in the world wanted to change their corporate structure in the USA to be more customer focused. They hired Gilbert Commercial to evaluate all their current facilities and to propose a reorganization plan. The client adopted the plan and Gilbert Commercial assisted with establishing new regional offices across the USA and a built-to-suit corporate headquarter campus in a suburb of Chicago.

A small, privately held, regional LTL trucking company had 12 trucking terminals when they first hired Gilbert Commercial to handle all their real estate needs. Over the next 10 years they grew the company through acquisition and then an IPO—until they became one of the largest fully integrated transportation companies in the US. Over the life of the relationship, Gilbert Commercial has managed a portfolio of over 150 locations around the country and over 4 million square feet of real estate to help facilitate this rapid growth.

A distribution client started with 4 locations and 300,000 SF of warehouse space. They wanted to expand nationally so they hired us to analyze their distribution network and to recommend an expansion strategy. Over a 5 year period, we assisted the client in opening 15 locations across the USA, Canada, and Mexico consisting of over 3,000,000 SF.
